Strathmore Primary School founded in 1944, and had an enrollment of 42 pupils, in order to cater to the educational needs of the city’s development in North Essendon. The school is situated just 11 km north-west of the city, this is lush residential area is located next to Tullamarine Freeway, and is connected by public transportation.
The school’s current enrollment is currently at 360 students. The backgrounds of the students are a reflection of a socio-cultural and cultural diversity , with a large number of students from non-English-speaking backgrounds.
